In a recent interview, Kate Hudson opened up on how she met boyfriend Matthew Bellamy. Since announcing her pregnancy with him, many people have wondered about her British beau. Bellamy, 32, is the lead singer of the band Muse and first talked to Hudson at the Coachella music festival in California. Hudson was watching a performance when one of her friends introduced her to Matthew.“We realized we had met a few years earlier, in Australia. Then I got distracted and said, ‘I’ve got to find my friends; I don’t know where they went.’ He just looked at me and said, ‘Come on, I’ll take care of you.’ That’s when I went, ‘Wait a minute, who are you?’ “They exchanged numbers and the rest fell into place. Hudson immediately felt protected by Bellamy. Considering the fact that she describes herself as “all over the place,” this meant a lot to her. She calls him a polite, amazing person that communicates and shows his love. Kate also reveals that, despite the stereotype of meeting “the one,” she didn’t initially feel a spark between them and didn’t expect him to be the one she’d end up with.
“In the beginning I felt like, okay, this is going to be heavy. Am I prepared for this? Because it had been a while, and I wasn’t looking for that. But I just couldn’t stay away. I wanted to talk to him and be with him all the time. On our first dates we would take long walks and talk the entire day.”Hudson’s pregnancy was unplanned, but the two did feel that having a child seemed like a natural progression. She says that she and Matthew’s love and excitement makes up for the unexpectedness.
