The Expendables 2 movie still has Sylvester Stallone attached to the project as director so it can be assumed that The Expendables 2 movie is going to be made in the hands of actor turned director after all. Before the original had made it to theaters it had been said that depending on its success a sequel will be made and making the prediction to be true the action and thriller packed flick had gone on to be one of the hit movies of the year. With its highly impressive ensemble cast it had been quite fascinating to see the way the star studded cast had brought action and thriller elements to be highlighted on wide screen on a breathtaking and mind blowing way.
And since The Expendables 2 movie had gone into production there have been many speculations surrounding the project. It was only last month that it had been reported that Sylvester Stallone will only star and not direct the sequel like he did for the original. For the original he also had his say in script and this time the movie has the penning business handle by Ken Kaufman and David Agosto . With Lionsgate and Maple Pictures which are behind the project stating that he might be returning to resume his duties as director fans will have to watch out whether it is going to be like that. The matter is yet to be conformed officially but it is a positive idea to entertain.

Another news which had been linked to the project is that Bruce Willis might be returning as a super villain. And it is yet to be confirmed who will be returning to reprise their roles from the original and with a release date already set on August 17th in 2012 it will only be a matter of time before casting call will be made.
