Wheels Movie
Hot Wheels movie might be the latest one to join the category of movies which are based on toys and games so though Hot Wheels movie is still in early stages of production it will not be long before the project will hit it off. When it comes to previous efforts which had been motion picture treatment given to toys and games such as Stretch Armstrong, Clue, Monopoly and Battleship it is understandable why Legendary has decided to jump at the chance to make a flick out of it. The company is said to be having negotiations with Mattel over the rights and if things work put in a positive way audiences will soon get to see an action flick developed with popular toy car brand as its central theme.
When it comes to the idea of making a Hot Wheels movie it can be said that the success of one of the recently releases might have something to do with. With movies like Fast Five in which the main source of attraction had been fast cars it sure seems a waste not to make a similar kind of a flick with Hot Wheels. However it also appears that the idea for a movie had been going on for over a decade but nothing solid had materialized. When looking through the history it looks like the Sony had been the first to come up with the idea of a movie and for that they had in mind McG. as director. Then few years back producer Joel Silver too had tried for a movie but it too failed.
All and all Hot Wheels movie definitely has rich source materials to come up with an adrenaline rushing action flick for audiences to watch out with wide eyed awe. It has been said that well known producers like Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Joe Roth were quite keen but since Mattel is familiar with Warner Bros. Legendary has manged to win the project. Writer and director are yet to be linked to the project and what the studio has in mind seems to be not a family friendly flick but rather something in line with flicks of Fast and Furious series.
