No Reboot but a Second Trilogy for Transformers

Transformers movies have been doing impressively at the theaters even though it has received mixed responses from critics so Transformers movies have no need to stop. Filled with all the necessary ingredients such as action, thriller, adventure and science fiction all in one it is not surprising that the big budgeted franchise had become a big money maker. The third installment which had hit theaters recently had become a record breaker as well so with things going positively the studio need not worry about continuing the series. However there are some issued which needs to be dealt with before going ahead with another installment. And as things are going on this new installment will definitely not be a reboot but most likely a second trilogy.
Transformers movies had director Michael Bay doing his job impressively for the three installments so he had said that he is not interested in continuing with the franchise. This means that if there is to be another addition to the series it will be headed by a new director. There will be another vacant position which is of lead actor for Shia LaBeouf too has said that he is done with it. Actor had elaborated on the matter saying that he longer has anything to contribute. And he had not forgotten to add that there is more to the story which can be told through future installments. So it is clear that rather than a reboot what might work best for the franchise is a second trilogy.
Transformers movies had one of its producers Don Murphy confirming that what they have in mind is a second trilogy and not a reboot. Why a reboot will not work for this series is that it has important and independent characters such as Transformers which are still there. So it is easy to come up with a new story. While we are at this it should not go unsaid that there have a rumor that Jason Statham might be cast in the franchise. He sure sounds interesting as the next star of the series. So there is much to be revealed about the second trilogy.
